I would like to thank all of you who made it the show at Higher Ground last night. It was a ton of fun and it was captured on video so, depending on the quality, some of the show should make it to the site and to youtube sometime in the near future. I hope to see you all again soon!!

DR has been voted

"Best Strings" in the First Annual Bass Player Magazine Readers' Poll. I play DR Strings exclusively and I've just been added to their official roster. Other DR endorsed artists include Sting, Bootsy Collins, Marcus Miller, Richard Bona, Trey Anastasio and U2's Adam Clayton. You can check out more here.

Upcoming solo performances this month:

I am very pleased to announce that I will be supporting British blues phenoms Back Door Slam on Thursday, August 28th at the Higher Ground Ballroom in South Burlington, VT. Back Door Slam have been creating a huge international buzz and are in the midst of a phenomenal US tour. They're currently doing shows with Lynyrd Skynard and Kid Rock. It will be an honor to share the evening with them.

On Saturday, August 30th I will be performing a solo set of bass music in Middlebury, VT as part of the Frog Hollow Art Gallery Concert Series. More details to come.

I am still compiling footage and music for my DVD which I plan to release within the next 6 months.

There is now a MySpace page for Ritter Bass Guitars. Jens Ritter crafts some of the finest basses in the world. Currently, I have a new Signature Ritter Bass under construction.

I will performing solo on Late Night with Tim Kavanaugh in November. The show is recorded in front of a live studio audience and broadcast on the regional CBS Station. Tickets are available for the taping and more details will be provided...
